Thom is a freelance theatre director, writer, and practitioner, and has served as Artistic Director at both the Mayflower Theatre and Studios in Southampton and the Charing Cross Theatre in London. A four-time consecutive Evening Standard Award nominee, his recent work includes the UK tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! and the original Disney/Pixar musical Disney Remember for Disney Live Entertainment.

Other notable productions include Peter Pan (writer and director), She Loves You (an original Lennon and McCartney musical), Parade (Southwark Playhouse), The Smallest Show on Earth: A New Irving Berlin Musical (UK tour), Grand Hotel (Southwark Playhouse and Umeda Arts Theatre, Japan), Mack and Mabel (Southwark Playhouse), and The Illusionist (Umeda Arts Theatre, Japan).

His revival of TITANIC received both the WhatsOnStage and Off West End Awards for Best Production and has toured internationally since 2013. Thom’s work continues to be produced and celebrated around the world.
